Our story

In October 2018, we had our first date after meeting online through a dating app. I originally suggested that we go to a Mexican restaurant but Jahann asked if we could go get sushi and watch Venom instead. That was the beginning of my attraction for her. Our conversation was endless during the first date and we realized how much we had in common. During the months that followed, we continued to explore our love for flavorful cuisine and local adventures, meeting each other's family, and finding more ways to connect with each other.

As we approached our 2nd anniversary, I knew that it was going to be special. We made plans for our trip to St. Augustine, with a little surprise of my own. Midway through the trip, we had plans to visit the lighthouse for their Dark of the Moon Ghost Tour, though we were tired from seeing the town itself since the early morning. We encouraged each other to climb the 219 stairs of the lighthouse. Working to catch our breath and looking at the wonderful view from the top, that moment of clarity came, as I went to one knee and asked her to be my wife. The sweet sound of yes made me the luckiest man on this earth.

Today, we plan our wedding, while still enjoying the simple pleasures in life. While our future is uncertain, I know that we will be strong and accomplish our goals in life together. I can’t wait to have her as my wife!
